Meg Elison

Meg ElisonMeg Elison is a California Bay Area author and essayist. She writes science fiction and horror, as well as feminist essays and cultural criticism. She has been published in McSweeney’s, Shimmer, Fantasy and Science Fiction, Catapult, Terraform, and many other places. Her work has been on the Otherwise (formerly Tiptree) award longlist and nominated for the Audie Award. 

Her debut novel, The Book of the Unnamed Midwife (winner of the 2014 Philip K. Dick Award) was the first in the Road to Nowhere series, which includes The Book of Etta and The Book of Flora. She is also the author of Big Girl, a collection of fiction and essays, and Find Layla, her YA debut.
